I started as a civil engineer at Istanbul Technical University, but the real school was the field. Energy, construction, infrastructure, marine. Many countries, many cultures. Over the years, AI entered my profession and most of what I saw was wrong: chatbots that didn't understand regulations, "smart" systems solving questions nobody asked.
So I crossed to the other side. Today, I work as a trainer for one of the world's leading AI labs, ensuring models understand the real world correctly. At the same time, I write code and build systems.
When I combined these two, I realized: the biggest new problem for businesses is that AI doesn't recognize them. The customer no longer searches Google; they ask AI. If a business is not in that response, it doesn't exist. I measure and fix this.
I now also publish this measurement work as an independent researcher. I authored the AIVI framework for measuring AI visibility, and the MAI and VLS metrics for measuring manufactured authority in search results, both published open access on Zenodo. So I don't just build visibility; I also measure and document how the field gets manipulated. My consulting follows the same principle: measure first, never manufacture authority.
The only way to know is to measure. Let's start with a free AIVI test.
