AIVI · AI Visibility Index

How is AI visibility measured?

AIVI (AI Visibility Index) is the index that measures a business's visibility in AI searches. It is based on real engine tests, not guesswork.

Your visibility consists of three layers, resulting in a single score.

You see the score. The internal calculation, question sets, and weightings of these layers are proprietary to me.

1
Visibility
Does AI find you
2
Knowledge & Trust
Does it know and trust you
3
Citation Frequency
How often does it cite you

What exactly does AIVI measure?

It measures whether AI assistants recommend you when answering real customer queries. Are you mentioned by name, with the correct positioning, do your competitors appear, and what position are you mentioned in. It converts all of this into a single visibility score.

Which AI engines are used for testing?

I test across the leading generative search engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Groq, and where possible, Google AI Mode and Claude. The same engines and the same question set are used in every measurement, making the before-and-after comparison fair.

What do the three layers mean?

Visibility (does AI find you), information density and trust (does it know and trust you), citation frequency (how often does it cite you). The combination of these three produces a single AIVI score. The internal calculation, question sets, and weightings of these layers are proprietary to me.

How is it different from SEO?

SEO targets Google ranking. AIVI measures inclusion in the AI response. AI provides a single answer, not ten blue links. If you are not in that answer, the customer never sees you. AIVI makes this visible.

How does the score improve?

First I measure, then I improve how AI reads your site and recognizes you. I work on technical infrastructure, content structure, and brand consistency. Then I measure again to show the difference.
